1. Refund Eligibility

Refund requests may be considered only under the conditions described in this Policy.

1.1 Before Program Commencement

Learners may request a refund if:

  • the cancellation request is submitted within 7 calendar days from the date of enrolment,

  • and the relevant batch, course, or program has not officially commenced.

If a program is scheduled to begin within fewer than 7 days from enrolment, refund requests must be submitted before the official batch start date.

Approved refunds under this category may be subject only to:

  • actual payment gateway charges,

  • taxes already remitted where non-recoverable,

  • and an administrative processing fee not exceeding ₹3,000 or 10% of the program fee, whichever is lower.

1.2 Within the First Two Live Sessions

PrepTiv provides learners with the opportunity to evaluate:

  • trainer delivery style,

  • program structure,

  • curriculum relevance,

  • and learning approach

during the initial phase of the program.

Learners may request a refund after attending up to two live sessions, provided that:

  • the refund request is submitted before attending the third live session,

  • and no substantial digital educational access has been granted.

For the purpose of this Policy, substantial digital educational access may include:

  • sharing of session recordings,

  • LMS or platform activation,

  • downloadable learning materials,

  • templates,

  • assignments,

  • or other reusable educational assets.

Approved refunds under this category may be subject only to:

  • actual payment gateway charges,

  • taxes already remitted where non-recoverable,

  • proportionate session fees for sessions attended, where applicable,

  • and an administrative processing fee not exceeding ₹3,000 or 10% of the program fee, whichever is lower.

2. Situations Where Refunds Are Ordinarily Not Applicable

Refunds shall ordinarily not be applicable under the following circumstances:

  • after attending more than two live sessions,

  • after substantial digital educational access has been provided,

  • after recordings have been shared,

  • after LMS or learning-platform access has been activated,

  • after downloadable resources, templates, assignments, or learner materials have been shared,

  • after certification vouchers, examination access, or third-party activations have been completed,

  • after substantial course completion or consumption of educational content,

  • where violation of PrepTiv policies, intellectual property misuse, misconduct, or abusive behaviour is identified,

  • or where refund requests arise solely from personal preferences, pace of learning, exam outcomes, career outcomes, or subjective expectations not involving material misrepresentation or substantial service deficiency.

Due to the nature of digital educational services, recordings, downloadable assets, and learning resources cannot practically be revoked or returned once accessed or shared.

Nothing in this Policy shall limit any rights available to consumers under applicable law in cases involving:

  • material service deficiency,

  • unlawful misrepresentation,

  • or other legally enforceable consumer rights.

3. Third-Party Certification and Platform Fees

Certain PrepTiv programs may include:

  • third-party certification support,

  • examination vouchers,

  • LMS access,

  • certification processing,

  • or external platform services.

Fees associated with:

  • third-party certification bodies,

  • examination providers,

  • LMS platforms,

  • payment gateways,

  • taxes,

  • or administrative processing

are generally non-refundable once incurred, activated, or remitted.

Third-party certification providers may include organizations such as:

  • Global Skill Development Council

  • Scrum Alliance

Certification-related policies remain subject to the operational policies and terms of the respective certification body.

4. Batch Transfers and Rescheduling

In eligible situations, learners may request transfer to another available batch instead of a refund.

Unless otherwise specified:

  • eligible transfers may remain valid for up to 18 months from the original enrolment date,

  • and learners may attend future eligible batches for the same purchased program without additional learning fees.

Batch transfers remain subject to:

  • seat availability,

  • operational feasibility,

  • trainer schedules,

  • and platform availability.

PrepTiv reserves the right to reasonably modify schedules, trainers, timelines, delivery formats, or curriculum where operationally necessary.

If a reasonably equivalent batch is unavailable during the applicable transfer period, PrepTiv will provide one or more reasonable alternate resolutions depending on the circumstances, which may include:

  • extension of transfer validity,

  • equivalent alternate batch access,

  • adjusted learning credits,

  • or appropriate refund resolution where reasonably necessary.

5. Cancellation or Material Changes by PrepTiv

In the event PrepTiv cancels a purchased program or makes a material change substantially affecting delivery of the purchased service due to operational, technical, trainer, legal, or unforeseen circumstances, affected learners may be eligible for one or more of the following remedies, depending on the circumstances:

  • rescheduled sessions,

  • alternate trainers,

  • revised batch access,

  • transfer to another cohort,

  • learning credits,

  • reasonable alternate arrangements,

  • or refund of the affected portion of fees.

Where PrepTiv is unable to provide a reasonable alternate resolution for a materially affected program, eligible learners may request an appropriate refund in accordance with applicable law.

6. Career Outcomes and Educational Disclaimer

PrepTiv provides educational, mentoring, certification-preparation, and career-support services.

Refunds shall not be granted merely because a learner:

  • did not obtain employment,

  • did not receive interviews or referrals,

  • did not achieve expected salary outcomes,

  • did not clear certification exams,

  • did not complete the program,

  • or did not achieve personal learning goals.

Learners are encouraged to review:

  • webinar sessions,

  • sample sessions,

  • curriculum details,

  • trainer introductions,

  • and program information

before enrolment.

7. Refund Request Process

All refund requests must:

  • be submitted in writing,

  • originate from the learner’s registered email address,

  • include payment or transaction details,

  • and clearly specify the reason for the request.

Refund requests may be submitted to:

Email: info@preptiv.com

PrepTiv generally aims to acknowledge refund-related requests within 5 business days.

PrepTiv may request reasonable verification or supporting details before processing refund-related requests.

8. Refund Processing Timeline

Approved refunds are generally processed within 7–15 business days from the date of approval.

Actual credit timelines may vary depending on:

  • banking systems,

  • payment gateways,

  • financial institutions,

  • card issuers,

  • EMI providers,

  • or applicable third-party processing timelines.

9. EMI, Instalments, and Payment Plans

Where programs are purchased through:

  • EMI arrangements,

  • instalment plans,

  • financing partners,

  • or deferred payment structures,

refund eligibility shall remain subject to this Policy and may additionally be governed by the terms of the applicable financing or payment provider.

Where a learner is eligible for a refund under this Policy, PrepTiv shall process the eligible refund amount in accordance with the applicable payment method and provider requirements.

Learners remain responsible for complying with obligations owed to third-party financing providers unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.

PrepTiv may suspend access where instalment payments are materially overdue or payment defaults occur.

10. Fraud, Abuse, and Bad-Faith Chargebacks

PrepTiv reserves the right to deny refunds, suspend access, or pursue appropriate action in cases involving:

  • fraudulent refund requests,

  • bad-faith or abusive chargebacks,

  • content misuse,

  • piracy,

  • unauthorized sharing of recordings or materials,

  • false claims,

  • duplicate refund attempts,

  • account misuse,

  • or abusive conduct.

Nothing in this Policy restricts a learner’s lawful right to raise genuine payment disputes or consumer grievances in accordance with applicable law.

PrepTiv further reserves the right to recover:

  • actual operational losses,

  • chargeback-related costs,

  • administrative expenses,

  • legal costs,

  • and damages arising from fraudulent or unlawful conduct.

11. Policy Interpretation and Updates

PrepTiv reserves the right to reasonably interpret, modify, update, or revise this Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • operational changes,

  • legal requirements,

  • payment-provider policies,

  • platform updates,

  • certification-provider changes,

  • or business requirements.

Updated versions shall become effective upon publication on the website unless otherwise stated.

Changes to this Policy shall not retrospectively reduce refund rights for programs already purchased prior to the effective date of such changes.

Continued use of PrepTiv services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
